Some of my newly hatched babies, going into week 3.

Do you see any signs yet of gender? The one that looks Grau Fee is too light brown to be that, so I’m thinking it’s a diluted rosetta? The one we thought was Pearl has a few hints of caramel mixed in…is that common? I think the one is a German Pastel? And the chocolate colored one that looks like a Pansy…is it? I’m in love with their different colors!

Yeahhh that’s what I was thinking too. The dark feathers coming in on third to last pic seemed suspect! I hope at least one Italian is a hen

Since release of all the new chicks, I’m at max capacity!!!! I couldn’t resist heading out to take some pics and wondering if I should do another contest before offing next batch??????

It was hilarious having them all swarm and peck at my toes at least until the bugs started eating me alive!!!!!

I will fill up all the feeders and waterers today before I leave. DS2 has agreed to check on everyone tomorrow, and I will be home either tomorrow evening or monday around noon.
I have around 100# feed capacity and 7.5 gal water in the main aviary so these guys are no big issue for being out of town. Its mainly the bunnies that have to be watered every day when it’s hot out.

I swear those dogs eat better than some humans. Why cook? Mine get raw if they get any. I'm feeding the chicken feed that are getting old and I've got too much bone broth. I should learn to can, but not this year.

Cat food, raw here. I swear the cat has gone from disdaining me to idolizing me.
