I have a male that’s a bit more aggressive than I’d like too, and he’s also a full celadon and I LOVE his markings…so I’m hoping he keeps the aggression to a minimum. So far he’s territorial and a butthead but nothing excessively damaging. The others seem to respect him and stay out of his way. I love how his feathers are almost laced. We named him LD, Little Dick. Haha. I’m hoping when I’m ready for new babies I will get some pretty ones from him!

9 hatched, 1 didn't make it, so I have 8 healthy little buttons.

I ended up clipping his long toenails then putting him back with his harem to see how he does. I had hoped to give the girls a break over the winter -- the boys are SO persistent. Younger me empathizes with them.

He's been a little more subdued since being returned. As I was clipping his toenails, he looked like he was sure this was the end. He closed his eyes and waited. . .but he's still here.

All my birds are traumatized and freaking out every time we go out there……I guess my winter preparation culls have them wondering who’s next!!!!

Mine only freak out when a visitor shows up. They wonder who's leaving next. The wild hen is quite nervous around me since her buddy "disappeared".
