That's my sales pitch. The people who wanted to see the chicks got fair warning that I was going to have them step in a bleach bath, then I showed them the birds. I'm honest when I don't know the gender.

I'd take them out now. The brooder should be about the same temp as the incubator, and with less humidity, they'll dry out fast.

Good call. They're looking better when they're dry. Even the injured one is hanging in there. Hopefully it is superficial, but I don't know. When I rescued it, its leg was blue. The leg looks more purple now.

Kiki passed away today. Not @Kiki ! My roommate's button quail Kiki. We're not sure what happened, it looked like she went to sleep and didn't wake up.

i was concerned today because following snow/ice removal around the gate, a little hole has opened up and “technically” if my buttons really wanted out, they could escape but all 3 were in the opposite corner enjoying the sunshine!!! hopefully we will find time more more spring cleaning this weekend and i can make sure any obvious holes are filled in!
