➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

@FlyingNunFarm
I'm still learning when it comes to duck habits. I have had my Swedish a few months, they have been consistently laying a few weeks and have not skipped a day. They did not lay the first 6 weeks I had them. This may have been due to winter or stress from moving, I suspect a bit of both. I am curious to see how well they produce next winter, if at all. They certainly don't seem to be bothered by winter weather the way my chickens are.

Happy Easter to all. Tonight I went to lock up my girls and one is on a nest with a fake egg and seems to be staying there. St. Bridget (patron St. of chickens) please let me have a broody so I can go buy eggs and put them and her in the broody cage. :fl:fl:fl:fl:fl:fl:fl:fl

Get OUT. There is a patron saint of chickens???!!!

Wow. I am so heading to Google this, right now. Bridget must have been looking after my little one when she got attacked by a hawk last week...

Someone had to ask Google about this P word.

eta.
I have been reading all (years worth) the digital magazines over at The Poultry Site.
(Don't tell Nifty)

Oooohhh, I love polysyllabic words that start with a silent P! :)

My old neighbors' last name was "Pfluger" and the DH entertained ourselves endlessly saying "Pah-Fluger. Pah-Fluger."

Yeah, we have no life, lol.
