Dustifer Bones the First is a damn fine name. He must have been so proud!
He was. Just a great little dog. After a year or so I found him a wonderful home with a sweet little girl who was a little afraid of dogs. I had forgotten that when he first came to me he was a little leery of kids. I said I'd take him back if it didn't work out. A week later her mom called to say they were inseperable.. the only time they were apart was during the child's baths. So, a happy ending all around.

Today, ā€œunnamed henā€ got out of the crate as soon as I opened the human door. She ran out of the coop. and on her way out, she crapped the biggest crap Iā€™ve seen a chicken crap.

On camera it may not look very big, but oh boy, it was enormous.. and I knew she pooped in that moment because the stench was 13 times greater than the look of itā€¦ she smelled up the whole coop!! I had to step outside to take some breaths
:lau
. I apologize for being graphic, but I found it funny that as soon as she pooped, the poop was steaming in the cold weather. I really donā€™t know why that made me laugh.

I was so happy she did not poop on the eggs OR the closed off area around the crateā€¦ Seems like she will be good momma. She is very careful.

She pooped, drank, ate, and had some exercise for about 10-15 minutes, then she was about to head back to her eggs.. and I grabbed her to snap some photos:

I also took a beautiful photo of the sky as a plane flew above:

She had been broody for about two days before we decided to set her.
She is one of our 2 white silkie hens who look almost identical. I haven't figured out if she's our younger silkie (8-10 months old) or our older silkie (about 2 years old). I will try to do that in the next few days. She is most likely our older silkie because I doubt a 9 month old silkie would be broody so early.

She's never been broody before. Neither of the silkies have ever been broody.

No problem! I'll need all the help I can get!

Thanks, Blue!
My silkie went broody at 7 months and had a 100% hatch rate with 6 eggs. Was a great mother too. Good luck!!

My imagination is really seeing something odd with this picture you have of the C-130 Hercules with landing gear down. The clouds like actually quite fake. Like a window lattice work was edited out but, the clouds show the center vertical beam and the 2 horizontal beams have the image in 6 stacked squaresā€¦..

I can not UN-see this now!

Interesting.

It's absolutely real, taken from my backyard.

Oh, I totally believe you. Thatā€™s why I introā€™d with how my imagination just went into overdriveā€¦.

So hereā€™s a tour of what I see. I copied your picture. Then I drew lines ā€œjust belowā€ each horizontal line & ā€œjust to the rightā€ of both vertical lines. The most prominent vertical line is how it passes just behind the vertical tail fin of the C-130!

Like I said initially, I am still having a seriously hard time UN-seeing the ā€œfake linesā€ in your pictureā€¦.. strange huh?
