Ya... the white one mustn't have developed it's curly tail yet, but with the same sounding quack, I would agree both are drakes. Oh boy... how loudly can a female duck quack! They are hilarious. :love

I personally can't afford to add enough hens for two drakes... ducks are porkers compared to chickens. I might attempt to keep just them. Or I might try to find them new homes and start over... ordering females of breeds I was interested in...

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I will be keeping them and separating. If the fighting gets too intense I'll have to consider rehoming. :(

I would definitely separate the drakes from the chickens because if they do try to mate, they can kill the chickens due to the differences in anatomy between the species.
I believe there are a few people on here who have drake flocks, but they will be more aggressive to each other during mating season. Unless one is severely overpowering the other (and not letting it eat or drink), they will be fine with their fighting.
Thank you!

Male ducks get along just fine together when there are no female ducks to fight over, of course there will be a pecking order and this is natural. But if you do want to get females I'd recommend getting about 8-10 females as from my experience 3 hens per drake is only doing minimum and could still risk over mating for the hen. I'd also recommend building a separate pen for your ducks, as it is highly likely your drakes will attempt to mount your chickens since there are no female ducks around. Very handsome young drakes!
Thank you! I am definitely attached to them so I would like to keep them, but for sure can't have 8-10 more lol. Looks like my boys will just have to deal.. hope they continue getting along.
