I don't even wanna remember last yearThis sucks! Last winter almost killed me, I was so worried about my girls, I put a heat lamp in the coop for the first time,( I used the Premier 1 heat lamp) I was afraid they were freezing. I built an insulated coop, but it was still soooo cold. I put a wireless thermometer/humidity gauge in their coop so I could monitor the conditions and temps in the coop.

I don't use heat in my coops since it hasn't been necessary, because all my chickens are winter hardy. Got 10 eggs today, our record is 14.
The only thing I need to worry about is frost bitten combs, & wattles.
