It is sand! I like to use sand for the chickens as they don't kick it up into their waterers as much. So I use it for the geese sometimes too, we go back and forth between sand and shavings. I think sand tends to stink faster, especially for the geese. But you can scoop the sand with a litter scoop to keep it cleaner longer too.

They swam in their kiddie pool outside yesterday for the first time and loved it! They didn't like the tub so much a few days before, but loved the pool.

well, lo and behold, Miss Sadie started laying eggs again! Scout has been broody for almost 3 weeks now- and I thought they were both done. I have 5 new eggs from Sadie= laid from 5/26- today (along with another one laid on 5/21 if you want that one too.)
I'm asking 70 for the 5 eggs (+ the extra one) + $17 for shipping to most places. Send me your zip code and post sold here (or in a PM) and I can let you know the shipping charges if you're very far from NJ. I only take paypal...hoping to get 6 babies next week from the eggs Scout is sitting on....I'll post pics if/when they hatch.

Wow those girls are ambitious. Lol. Looks like I may have a pair, so a little name changing. The bigger (but younger) may be a splash and boy so he will be Peter. And we will still keep the name Piper. So it's Peter & Piper like the rhyme Peter Piper. Corny, yes.

Awesome! They are adorable! I can't believe how much they grew and how white/feathered they are already! My babies!

Hi,

Is there a miraculous chance that you have anything available. I only want one - it would probably a juvenile by now. I wanted a friend for my very spoiled Canada (I have the migratory geese permit and receipt.) We're in a small town with a 6 ft wood fence and a big backyard. Turning our one goose into a house goose is going to end up causing a divorce! Geez, Canadas poop SO much!! I bought diapers - all different styles - she slings poop everywhere. We have 2 new vacuums and huge blocks off plastic all over the livinging and dining room! If she had a friend, I think I could gradually get them to be BFFs. lol

Sorry, I jsut saw this- the sale is closed now since they aren't laying anymore this year. I don't have any goslings left either...I do have Scout and Simon for sale though...they re the all white pair, and both 1 yr old, unrelated, and proven breeders/parents. If you are interested in them, please pm me for the details. I also have 2013 juvenile Mandarin ducks for sale- all reg colored and hatched here almost 3 mos ago.
