2019 Emu Hatch-A-Long

How do you feel about paying for those weird tiny eggs? I googled trying to see how much they cost and found mention of 'nice big' eggs for hatching. That makes me think small/tiny ones - not so good. :-(

Not good. I really should send the seller a message about it, but it feels awkward to me. I don't like to accuse people of sending me subpar stuff, but I feel like that's exactly what happened. I know I should just send the message and be done with it, because the worst that could happen is they say "sorry too bad" but eh.

Yeah, I think a photo with the tiny ones beside the normal for comparison with the comment "I believe these are too small to be viable, what do you think?" should get a response... Also, aren't you hatching for someone else? Very inconvenient to invest so much time in eggs which look iffy at the get go.

Do they cost about $25 apiece?

Yeah, I am hatching for someone else on this batch.

They were $40 each :hmm

Remove and drilled, stinky egg. No sign of being fertile, just smelly ooze. Least I got the egg shell, I've turned that thing at least 200 times in the last 50 days. Will sit on a shelf and I might touch it 10 more times in the next 20 years. (I don't dust much)
I drilled mine as well. My 3 eggs are looking good today and loosing the right amount of weight still. I used a dish on the scale and subtracted the weight of the dish as someone suggested. I am getting worried here bc these 3 have a double yoke/twin egg (we think) as well as a super tiny 400 gram egg. They are all moving well today. The turning 5x a day continues on the other 4 as well. No sells yet. Just a few more days. I am praying I get this baby a friend. He kept us up most of the night so loud even with the turkey poult friends.

I pulled a sloshing egg from my batch due the end of April. Gonna weigh tonight and check how the other two are doing. I saw two because the seller sent me two tiny, bullet shaped eggs (I paid for them, they weren't extras) and I'm pretty sure they're just no good based on tiny size and shape. I still have them in there though, just in case.
I have a tiny one from a young white emu and it is definitely viable thus far. Fingers crossed. It is close to hatch and weight was 443 grams today. Good luck. I will let you all know when these hatch due same day as possible twin egg. Today is day 47.

Well, fingers crossed on my super small bullet ones then. They're losing much too much weight though, so I'm not optimistic. I won't take them out of the incubator unless they start to slosh or smell, though.

I will try to post a photo of my bullet egg too. I got these 3 on eBay and got 3/3 for shipped eggs. It also looks like a bullet lol.
