Your Magpies look like mine! More black than white. My Buffy's are darker brown, but that could also be the Texas sun.
Good grief are the goslings tall! They dwarf the ducks.

I haven’t gotten an update recently, but guess what? I am planning to see her tomorrow in person! So I’ll get to check her out first hand. I promise to take pics and let you guys know.
I’ve been swamped since we finally got some decent weather!

@Magnolia Ducks Thank you! for your answer. I will start saving for one at the Mother Earth News Fair in August. I am sure that I will get bit by it several times. I need a portable fence and I like that it can be lengthened as needed. I will get the catalog now.

Duckling update:
As @WVduckchick mentioned, we got some decent weather here in WV breezy but plenty of sunshine, so i opened the duck pool today. First the grown-ups took a dive, only to be overran by the younglings:

Finally the grown-up's came running at me, complaining loudly about those pesky birds occupying their pool…

But in the end everything worked out fine and they all shared a bowl full of alfalfa sprouts for supper:

I modified the racoon trap for this night, first the bait area of the trap-cage was covered with ½" x ½" hardware cloth:


Then the trap was strapped down to the work-platform with thick wire:


This night's bait is taco-beef with cheese. - Waiting for the 'coon…

Yes they do. One on the right is missing a threshold so I jam the dog gate in at night so nothing can get in.

Great job! I have found a cheap can of some kind of fishy cat food works great here. I've caught 6 raccoons since late summer.
