Goose hatched 6 today

I wish I had seen this thread earlier. It’s been fun catching up.
We have 3 White Chinese geese named Kate, Lauren, and Becall...Yes movie names to encourage love ❤️:love Then there is the White Chinese genders named Leopold for Kate,(yeah that didn’t work out), and Humphrey for Lauren and Becall.
Then we somehow ended up with an Embden. Still scratching our heads over Snowflake!
Alas come the Toulouse. The gander named Sandi who we thought was a Sandy and his two ladies we thought Tango and Cash. Yes, they have gender confusion names going on. Imagine ours when we discovered during what my husband calls animal porn the sight of Sandi trying to mate a Chinese and both of those ganders attacking him to drown him!!!!
At least checking to ensure mating is happening we discovered our misinformation about Toulouse genders.
Now that I’ve introduced my precious children to a thread where I’ve been learning of yours I’d like to introduce my new babies.
Ms Looney hatched one month ago. Her egg laid in the kitchen counter for 9 days. I had no clue what I was going to do with it. Never turned it, misted it, or even put it in a container.
Then in a fluke an incubator got freed from chickens and I put her in there with a duck egg. Here she is. One month old yesterday.

Now for her birthday, 6 more hatched. 4 White Chinese and hopefully 2 full blood Toulouse.

I’m in hopes of the French but not holding my breath. Humphrey and Leopold really beat up on Sandi quite a bit. Tango and cash have taken to laying their eggs in a secluded spot by our front porch.
I had plans to set another incubator with chicken eggs being more geese will hatch the 14th. But with them cranking eggs and people wanting them AND my Muscovy’s showing no interest whatsoever in laying much less sitting...a momma goose has got to do what a momma goose has got to do????

I got two this a,m. and decided to go ahead and set what I have. If I get more in the next day or two, I'll add them. It was just getting to where I was worrying about the oldest ones. You gotta start where you are...

This is great! So maybe 13 or 14 goose eggs max as long as they still turn freely and then come hatch day if they all make it to lockdown get creative? lol

Well the incubator room attitude is not going well at all. At least for Ms Looney.
Daily meetings with the new kids is a fiasco to say the least. I just candled the geese eggs before turning at 21 days and they’re looking great. I sure hope she’s adapted to new kids by then 😬
