:D:clap I can't stand it!! I'm ready for BB to start laying! Posted a Craigslist ad to see if there was any interest in goslings in my area, and I had 2 people contact me already.

I let them know this was their first breeding season so I can't guarantee anything but I would keep their contact information for sure. I was thinking $50/pair unsexed. Thoughts? Also, what are my chances of having a successful first season with my pair? Each about a year old.

:love So excited for you! Are you going to keep any of the goslings?

I think that's an okay price. It all just depends on your area.

Georgia clutched twice last year. At her original home their pot-bellied pig discovered the nest and ate the eggs. At my house she laid and successfully incubated eggs for twenty something days. I was having such a problem with rat snakes that she eventually abandoned the nest. In her struggles to get the snakes out of the nest she did crack an egg with a well-developed embryo so I know they were fertile. I've only seen them breed once or twice so I wouldn't be surprised if when she starts laying you don't have any issues at all.

I tried salvaging the last two eggs of her second clutch in a LG incubator and that failed miserably. I have hatched White Chinese in GQF Sportsman Incubators.

I'm hoping for success right off the bat, but researching incubators as a back up plan! I can't let all of yall have all the fun with new goose babies without getting in on the action!!

I miss goose egg omelets. Missy has gone through henopause.
Henopause:lau:gig You think she dealt with hot flashes and all!?

Prices vary on the breed and vary if you have competition in your area.

No competition is ideal. Since Ireland is small and people are quite close to eachother there's competition all the time.

I'm planning on keeping all my buffs I hatch and sell most of the browns.

Got 6 new guineafowl today and boy was the backyard loud today :')

I bought my first pair of geese a week ago I can’t wait for the eggs.
