3 day old duckling with yuck eye straight out of shipment...

That is a great video. They look great, eating and drinking too. I don't know for fact but wonder if that goop could have even be left over from hatching @WVduckchick or @Ravynscroft will have to comment on that. But looks to be clearing up. Put enough ND into their water to make it look like weak tea. Unless you have directions on the bottle I have a large bottle and bought a small one with a dropper I put 2 dropper squirts into a gallon bucket for mine.

Yeah I have the bottle with the dropper (dunno if it’s considered big or small LOL) but I remember two squirts (at least) when I was making a gallon jug of it for my Pekin (prior to her passing). But I’m not certain how long a gallon of that would keep (presuming it’d need refrigerated?) and since these girls are only going through about 3-6 cups (max; it’s only because it keep dumping and refreshing so often), I didn’t know if the gallon would go bad before I used it all?

I rarely put any ND in their water. I wipe the dropper with my finger, then transfer it to the side of their bill. Then drip some clean water from my finger, and it will wash the ND down with it.

They are a few days old now, right? You could even put Goop I in a sink of warm water and let her rinse really well. Just a few inches deep (enough to float but still touch the floor) and just for a few minutes. 5 or so is usually enough for a first swim. Watch for the feathers to look soaked, you don't want her to get water logged. Then towel dry her really well with a soft terry cloth, and as you towel her off, rub her head and face. Don't be afraid, you won't break her! lol I think you'll get most of the goop off, and she will like being snuggled and rubbed in a warm towel.

A short swim will also let you see if she's using her legs ok, and its good exercise. Just be sure to dry her off good, and warm her right back up under her heat lamp. Toss in a couple specks of food and see if she goes for them... that could tell you that she can see well too.

These 2 are just over a week old, they are up to about 30 minutes each evening. I float a wash cloth, for them to rest on, if they get tired. :D
(excuse my dirty-looking laundry sink lol)
