Well at first I thought I had 2 of 5 of the mottled bantam cochins that were girls, but today there was the no doubt much redder crest
So I have 1 girl at least...but I don't need 4 bantam roos that are already fiesty! Anyone in MT the southwest area need any roos? I think it would be nice to have a couple roosters for my 25 girls who are mostly full sized cochins, or will be when they grow up. Anyhow I am just sad as I would have liked a few more girls, but I realize that with bantams its a gamble. I am trying to decide if I want to add the roo's to the other half of the coop with the bigger chicks, or keep them with the other 2 bantams and bad legged chick for now? Any thoughts? They are all the same age, but those standard cochins are some big balls of fluff.
