Girls are starting to pick back up. I am offering 6+ eggs for all of my silkie pens that lay. You will receive at least 8 eggs. You will get what ever colors are layed on thursday and eggs will be sent out on Friday. Are you NPIP?
Also my husband and I are constantly disagreeing about whether or not silkies can go in with standard hens and roos. He thinks they are too fragile, I say not. What do you think? Thanks!

NatalieB, I have 2 (extra) Silkie roosters who I have out with my standard flock, and they do just fine!

NatalieB - I have 3 silkie hens, one rooster and 3 6 week old silkies mixed with my standard flock of BA, EE, BR and CM and they do fine. The smallest silkie hen is pretty high in the pecking order, but then again, she's just not quite right in the head. It will also depend on how much pecking in the pecking order your roo a/o head hen will allow. My BA head hen tolerates very little, so the flock is usually peaceful.
