A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

She actually jumped the fence with that pizza. I thought it was a pretty athletic move. Scared the heck out of my friend. She did realize she was there. I didn't know she hopped the fence. I did see her hop back to her yard with the pizza. My sweet girl is a THEIF!

Dragon Lady - Wow lots of info - thank you. After hearing from several of you now I can't wait to try a turkey egg.

But, I'm a very new newbie. What's a BBW?

Hi Mairin49....welcome. I never knew how much fun turkeys could be. My girls are quite entertaining. Post pictures of you flock! We like pictures! :D

So if I feed Turkey pellets to all my birds rather than the chicken grower all will be well? I buy both and it would be easier to have them on the same feed. In the winter do you supplement their feed with hay or other greens ?

I'm seriously thinking of adding a tom this spring for my two girls. I have all winter to decide. But with one blue and one bourbon red hen....the color combinations could be quite interesting. I've had the girls now since July. More then enough time to decide I can manage them. So a tom may be in my future! I neeed to figure out the Porters calculator....the only one I know who can work it is R2elk!

Maybe Ralphie will bring me a calico this December on his way through Memphis! Speaking of Ralph.....Where are you Ralphie????

I think you should add a tom for your girls - dang it, I'd love to bring one of the bourbon babies there since DH is telling me I'm going to have to get rid of a tom :( I wish you lived closer lol - that would be quite the road trip with a turkey (I'm pretty sure my car interior would never be the same)!
