A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Sorry for everyone's losses.

Aroura the turkey will stay friendly as adults but when they are in breeding season they are very protective of their hens. I found that if I pet my hens neck or chest the tom's don't get huffy about it.
And the toms will stay friendly. Hen's they are iffy. lol
But none of my birds hurt me. I did have a hen that did not like me and she tried to fly at my head, but my tom flew up and bounced her back! That was my pet ACE! My first turkey pet.

I never trust a Tom. not even JJ around small people. My grandkids love JJ, but I stand between them or hold JJ when they want to pet him. When I was about 6-7 I was chased around and around a vinegar barrel by a Tom. Scared me poopless. My Dad came to my rescue, and the Tom became a Sunday dinner guest.

Just saying you can never be too careful with a Tom. The only time I have had a hen come at me is when they have poults.

Growing up on a farm, we were taught a healthy respect for all male animals. Breeders).

Feisty.. I have been having a great relaxer last couple days, Colorado Peaches (MM forgot to send me any, I had to buy em in the store), Ice and Mikes... In the bullet grind it and drink it...Yummmy

I agree completely Ralphie! Am I understanding this correctly...You're making peach beer smoothies??

Ralphie.....that does sound tasty!
Finally got rain here today. And we are getting a break from this heat! It may go down to the mid 60's tonight. Brrrr!!

Quit complaining, I had 31°F on August 23 this year. It did not help my garden at all. Current overnight temps have been running around 40°F. Enjoy your warmth.

Bob, when it gets below freezing here we think we are dying! We don't have the clothes for it...our gloves are decorative.

You wouldn't like it here. We had -27°F the 2nd week of November last year. Of course On a calm sunny day, -20°F feels comfortable because of the low humidity. When the wind blows even 40°F is miserable.
