A hose!!!
How in the hades does a turkey move a hose (wrapped up and cable tied together) from under a bench to out in the middle of the building 40 ft away??
and why??
Also.... one of my young Dom roosters had a traumatic day.. My Doms live close to the house in a clapboard shack. I let them out of their run everyday.
We have about 6 inches of new snow. I did not expect them to leave their run, but they did.
They were pecking at a pile of spent brewers grain by the drive. I was plowing snow with my ATV. The rooster and one pullet thought I was chasing them. So they ran in front of me to the door of the shed the turkeys live in..
I had backed up a tad so the rooster was feeling pretty brave. A turkey hen walked out the door from the shed..
The rooster immediately went into his courtship dance. I am sure he thought the turkey hen wanted his body...
He made one little error...
The hen that walked out is the one that loves to pull tail feathers out of roosters rear...
He had his head down.. butt in the air.. doing the jiggy...
The turkey hen, reared back with a wth does this little punk thinking he is doing.
Then just as fast she jumped forward and took two feathers off the rooster...
The rooster was so stunned to see the woman of his dreams mutilating him... he stood there shocked...
As she reached in and grabbed another feather.
I think it dawned on him he was not going be getting lucky with her today because he scurried out of their pretty fast..
and again no camera to record it..
