Alright, guys.

I want to bring up a few things.

NO FIGHTING, no flaming, no bashing, etc. I like my thread, I'd like even more if we could keep it open. So I just want opinions.

Did you not think the ACORN scam was wrong?

If Obama would have lost, do you not think he would've kicked and screamed and called it a racial injustice? Do you think he wouldn't have taken the whole thing to court?

Also, my opinion is that the majority voted for him because of his color. I had many people tell me that -- black people voting for the black president. I quizzed a few to see if they knew what he stood for, and the majority did not. That's what makes me upset.

And, my cousin is in the Army currently serving in Iraq. Another is in the Marines, also in Iraq. They were supposed to receive their ballots in September, have them back by October. Instead, they received them in the middle of October, and we didn't get them back in time for them to be counted. So, there went a good majority of votes -- for either candidate. And those votes I value above all others because their actually giving their lives for this country.

Just throwing that out there.

I loved McCain's speech after it was all over....right or wrong....dem or rep....that was a great speech. I feel the same way....and I don't tell who I vote for...lol

We are Americans....regardless of who is in what title...ours doesn't change!

Maybe you could research the actual demographic breakdown of voters and the way they voted? I think you might be very surprised. I can assure you that "the majority voted for him because of his color" is inaccurate.

God Bless America!

you can not assume what the man would have done if he had not won.
And even if he got the black vote because of his race that would not account for the white womens vote the haspanic vote or my vote.
and I am not saying he did get the black vote because of his race.

I wasn't saying that only people of his race were voting for him for that reason.

Don't question me and what I've researched. I dislike it when people assume I'm one to debate something I know nothing of.

Thanks though.

Have you read the Fact Check articles about ACORN? What do you think Obama did that is wrong?

http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/acorn_accusations.html

A couple of the excerpts:

I think we can all agree that voter registration fraud is wrong, but no one has ever found evidence that it led to voter fraud:

Neither ACORN nor its employees have been found guilty of, or even charged with, casting fraudulent votes. What a McCain-Palin Web ad calls "voter fraud" is actually voter registration fraud. Several ACORN canvassers have been found guilty of faking registration forms and others are being investigated. But the evidence that has surfaced so far shows they faked forms to get paid for work they didn’t do, not to stuff ballot boxes.

And I can't figure out why I'd oppose Motor Voter registration...

The ad says that "Obama's ties to ACORN run long and deep" – that he "taught classes" for the group, paid a "front" $800,000 for get-out-the-vote efforts, and was endorsed by ACORN for president. That last one's true – ACORN's political action committee did offer an Obama endorsement. It's also true that Obama has worked with the group in the past. In 1995, Obama helped represent ACORN in a successful lawsuit to require the state of Illinois to offer "motor voter" registration at DMV offices. Obama has said that this is his only association with ACORN, but that's not the case – he has had other, though less direct, interactions with the organization.

So what is your issue with ACORN? Just curious...

NC, I love ya gal!!!

Young Americans like you truly are our future. Keep being YOU!!!

Washington has messed up bad, regardless of the D's or the R's.

Now is the time to move forward.

Best of luck to President Elect Obama. I may not have voted for you but
you are now MY president.

They interviewed a guy that got paid a dollar a vote, and with cigarettes. He testified he was paid to vote over seventy times.
