Yes,please, let's not get this one locked. I think it is wonderful how many young people were so interested and passionate about this race. I bet they get all fired up for the next one, too. Us old fogeys need to heed their example.

I took my 7 yr.old son with me to instill in him the importance of voting. I do think we all have the right to vote... Now if all of these newly registered voters will contuine to vote in the coming years it would be great. I just hope that they all did not registered for just this one election and then don't go out and vote for all of the local elections that are also so important to our Country.

well just like to say I am inspired and overwhelmed I feel for first time in 8 yrs that I will have a president who has my interests at heart. Not big business.
for the first time in 8 yrs when the president comes on the TV I won't be screaming and shutting it off.

Politics are a part of life and life is discussing things... This is a very friendly discussion that clearly everyone here wants to have. If it makes you uncomfortable there are lots of other threads...I'd love for you discuss WITH us, but only if you feel so inclined... Not trying to alienate or exclude anyone. I don't go into the prayer threads and say i want it closed. Those go on forever and that's fine.

Not quite true unless you decide it to be so.

I choose to not fly my flag,I choose to be ashamed of our government untill we right this wrong

I think this is how Michelle Obama felt when she said she was only recently proud of her country. She got a lot of flack from republicans for speaking frankly. I haven't been proud of my country for a long time due to all the dumb stuff we do all over the world to other countries (mostly due to our current presidents policies.) I surely appreciate the freedoms we have and wouldn't want to live somewhere else. Except maybe Canada. Or the Netherlands. Or most European countries. But i definitely don't want to pack up all my stuff. That's for sure.

Because you don;'t like the president or his decisions doesn't make you "UnAmerican" It just means you have a different opinion of how things should be done.
