I love ALL of mine, even the wild silver sisters. My silver roo comes to the back door and crows until I bring him treats. His wheaten brother is even more tame and sweet. Here is Bob:

Your lavender is a handsome boy. Did you get him from John Blehm at the show this past weekend? I got mine from John this summer, and have been very VERY happy with them.

As far as which color variety is the sweetest, I've also heard from people before that Wheatens are friendly, and that the Silvers are wilder, but I have a few blacks that run to meet me and fly up on my shoulders every time I go to the barn. They'll nuzzle my neck! One male in particular, would rather sit on my lap than anything else, and just "TALK" to me like you wouldn't believe. He's so cool! ...and call me crazy if you want, but I promise you they are also noticably smarter than most of the other chickens.​
