Have you checked his legs for the development of spurs starting?

All chickens develop spurs, whether they are a male or female.

That's one FINE looking cockerel right there --

He looks like he's starting to feel his oats!

Yeahhhh-- The tells for me are- on his wing- you can see the break thru in various colors.

Not only the lighter color patching, but also the beetle sheen too.

Unless particular breeds, it's been my experience this is a cockerel tell.

Swamp Princess is 100% correct on the saddles showing- but- with silkies & frizzles, it's MUCH harder to be sure of this because some won't have these tells because of how these feathers are.

He has a nice plump comb and ... I go back and forth, because looking at the shape of his face, he ALMOST gives the appearance of developing streamers..? And then I'm like... nahh... well maybe...

Could I be wrong.. ? Absolutely! And I hope I am. However, those are the 'tells' I pick up on when I look at him.

I bet when he is fully feathered out, he will really be something!

I bought this frizzle EE a couple months ago, and I'm starting to believe it's a rooster. Can someone confirm before I rehome?
