One meal of scrambled duck-eggs and i was lost for the chicken world!
Yes it is pretty rural here, but no other ducks around (other than the mallards in the creek and the wood-ducks in the trees), but lot's and lot's of chickens…
Same here! I have returning customers asking if I sell... I can't think of the name but it starts with a b and like they eat baby chicks? :sick

I sell mine for $3 a dozen.
Since that grasshopper incident all ducks are laying one at least large egg per day, i get 14 eggs daily, which confirms that Katharina indeed is broody and has stopped laying. Plus i get four Jumbo eggs per day, i assume from Blanca and her White Panzer division, so feeding much protein is good for egg-production! - No i won't do it again!
Here is my duck-egg classification:
less than 50 grams (1.8oz): Peewee
50 - 60 grams (1.8-2.1oz): Small
60-70 grams (2.1-2.5oz): Medium
70-80 grams (2.5-2.8oz): Large
80-90 grams (2.8-3.2oz): eXtra Large
more than 90 grams (3.2oz): Jumbo
Compare that with the Chicken Egg Classes from the DoA, would i use those, i only had large and heavier eggs. Somebody laid a 130 gram (4.6oz) egg yesterday, i assume a triple yolker.
I don't think $4 per dozen is asking too much for such large eggs, and there are only few eggs with less than 60 grams.

$4 a dozen is not expensive. My local store has Chicken eggs from some local family. Labeled Free Range Farm Fresh Eggs... $6. I'll wait another couple of weeks for my girl's to start laying...JJ
I am not a "certified organic" producer, but i bet my ducks and their eggs would exceed all requirements. No pesticides at all, feed from a local feed-mill without GMO and my ducks do know for sure what "free-range" means. They demand to be put to bed in the evenings because they are tired.

I live in a small mountain town, pop. 2000. Folks are THRILLED, to get a job paying $9 an hour. I don't see too may $6 a dozen Eggs selling...JJ
GOOD GRIEF! If google maps located your location correctly you indeed live in a very rural area! You guys have running water and electricity? - Just kidding! I thought Wilkes-Barre was rural…

Looks Rural. Is it possible a lot of other families raise Ducks? Never understood why folks question eating Duck Eggs. It took just One for me to get hooked! The rich flavor, velvety mouthfeel and you get Twice the Dippy Yolks of Chicken eggs! What's not to love...JJ
Great... Now I'm hungry. :gig

Balut! - I could sell Balut here to the Asian grocery store, but i won't! I read the story of the »Baluties« from @Texas Kiki … No money in the world will make me do this!
