Any Home Bakers Here?

Well, my family like the duck noodle soup! We made some adjustments on the recipe, so here is the recipe that I made.

Jareds Duck Noodle Soup

Ingredients

1 whole duck, wild or store bought.

Chicken stock

Vegetables of your choice, (I chose carrots.)

Noodles.

Directions.

Put holes in the ducks skin, but not the meat. Boil the duck in water for 2 minutes to remove the fat from the duck. Remove and pat dry.

Roast the duck at 350 for 30 minutes per pound or until internal temp is 165.

Remove duck from the oven, and take meat off the bones. Set aside.

Put bones in a pot and cover with chicken stock. Simmer 20 minutes. This makes duck and chicken broth.

Discard bones and add vegetables to the broth. Simmer until veggies are done.

Add noodles and cook until done. Add diced duck meat that was set aside earlier.

Cook until warm and enjoy!

A recipe that is a work in progress:

Jared's duck noodle soup:

One whole duck ( store-bought or Wild)

Salt

Egg noodles

Water

Step one: preheat the oven to 350. Roast the duck in the oven for 30 minutes per pound, or until internal temperature is 165.

Step 2: after the duck is done, cut meat off the bone. Save the carcass and bones! Set the meat aside.

Step 3: boil the carcass, bones and all, in water for 20 minutes. Add salt to taste for the duck stock.

Step 4, boil the noodles in the duck stock, add diced duck meat.

Enjoy!

Any ideas to help improve my recipe will be appreciated. It's already delicious the way it is.

Jared
Jared, I've found that making a bone broth takes at least 12 hours. And I always use onion, carrot, celery and garlic Plus some thyme, oregano, parsley, rosemary and sage.
