Any Home Bakers Here?

Geeze you guys... I was gone just a few hours & I missed so much already. Here's my rambling comments & questions;
#1. GREAT job on the recipe index!!!
#2. I too use sour cream & mustard in my deviled eggs (we call them Double Stuffed eggs in my house.)
Last but not least, @sunflour what are sweet salad cubes?

Mt Olive brand calls them "sweet salad cubes"….they are finely chopped sweet pickles.

Ahhh! Thanks. Now I'm craving egg salad. I'm gonna need a new pair of pants after a few weeks of this thread!

I know what you mean :(

Odd I guess, but I don't like warm boiled eggs, they have to be cold.

But just boiled eggs made into warm egg salad sandwiches are so, so good. But refrigerated left over is quite tasty too...

A starter is flour and water that has fermented. It's what puts the sour in sourdough! I'm sure there's a lot more to it but that's the short explanation.

A lot of people make their own. There are other ways of getting it (like the Carl's Friend website ronott1 refers to) or a place like King Arthur's website. I don't know of a grocery store where you can buy it but then we are limited in our stores so maybe others have seen it in theirs?
