Any Home Bakers Here?

very interesting subject we have the great debate here as well but honestly I can either way... tried my best to explain that there is not a difference really  I have both in the fridge if I fudge do one not the other they cannot tell but say they prefer Miracle Whip :smack

We only have the real stuff around, that's DH's preference. I only use mayo for things like egg salad, potato salad, etc. I've never liked the taste or texture of plain mayo.

I grew up with regular Mayo, DH grew up with Miracle Whip...personally I much prefer Miracle Whip but do admit some recipes are better with regular mayo ;)
It's interesting, I grew up eating MW, but now prefer real mayo. Also grew up eating margarine, but love real butter instead, and have eaten only butter for years. Oh, and the biggest change my tastebuds have went through is when I was a kid, I wouldn't touch any vegetable except corn (which is technically a grain), but now I love nearly every vegetable like crazy. Hubs is the same way. We grow lots of veggies and absolutely relish eating them all!

I have become much better at all foods would not eat onions in any way but little green ones total opposite now use them all not cooked do rude things to 2 of us cooked

I'm not sure what miracle whip is like, I've never had it. I only get "real" mayonnaise in a jar, but there's no comparison between jar mayonnaise and homemade. If you've never made it, give it a go.

I LOVE sauces/sandwich spreads/pickles. I am going to give the ranch a go. Mixing up the dry so you are ready to mix up a batch is a great idea, especially when you can't get through gallons of it and want to mix up a small/er batch.

Still me. I'm finally going to make mufaletta. Does anyone have a really good recipe for the olive salad? Seem to be a lot of variations online. Any views as to what works/what doesn't?

I don't have a recipe for that but look forward to seeing which one you decide to try out.

I'm thinking this one looks pretty good.

Why not buy a small jar and taste it and report back :D
I don't think they sell it here other than in some specialty shops. I don't know where. I don't eat much mayo, I tend to go for spicy relish/pickles if I'm having "extra" in a sandwich. If I ever come across it in the shops, maybe I'll give it a try.
