We get the raw sugar and the cane sugar at our local grocery store, Publix. @ronott1 , you probably get a better price with the bigger bag at Costco, the organic raw sugar was pretty steep the last time I checked the grocery store price. The cane sugar is often on sale and then I can usually get a 5 pound for $2.
We have a place in Ocala called Bravo. They are based in the Dominican Republic. They have Great prices on Raw sugar in bulk. If you are ever down this way look them up. I buy dried beans in bulk, coconut, tapioca flour... fun place to shop. It is like a Caribbean holiday.
And they have a cafeteria!

That sounds like a fun store to check out, thanks @3goodeggs !

(That makes 2 places to visit if I get to Ocala...I hear there's also an excellent nursery there.

Thanks for the recipe, sounds like one to try. Both recipes I tried recently had to be cold to roll out. Fabulous looking cookies.

@ronott1 , we don't have a Costco. I used to shop at Sam's but never bought enough to keep the membership. Never looked for organic sugar at Publix or Kroger @NorthFLChick .

But, DH does the shopping :)

He bought some Publix brand "sugar" during the holidays and it was awful. Lumps, funny texture, and really did not taste like normal sugar to me. I threw out the opened bag, and gave the rest away. I am sure it was sugar beet sugar.

This is the cane sugar I get at our stores:

Hmm, this is the first time I've looked at their website. Going to have to spend some time checking out their recipes!

Re: the rolls I made yesterday with the honey substitution...DH loved them!

And bonus points for me, he was especially impressed with the cloverleaf shaped ones

There is no getting ahead. It isn't like laundry.

When I have the place looking less derelict, you get the invite!

But you'd have to hurry because weeds know no rest.
I rest. I throw my hands in the air, scream, go home, and rest. Then the weeds take advantage.
That is why I use a bread machine. (It sounds less lazy now doesn't it? I know you all were judging!
