Any Home Bakers Here?

@ronott1 normally I use white wheat for my whole wheat breads. Today I'm going to try Deb's recipe with all wheat flour, but thinking about either red wheat or spelt instead. I know whole grain flour takes more water, is there anything else I should be considering?
Hard red will work without much help because it has plenty of gluten. Spelt has less gluten so it helps to add some gluten flour. The bread can be a bit flat otherwise.

As beautiful as that cookie is, there's no way id tale so much time to decorate something that the kids are going to scarf down over the next couple days lol.

Somehow, over the next few days, I need to find time to make up some sugar cookies, peanut butter cookies, and chocolate chip. Probably on Sunday. I risky got my mom's recipe for sugar cookies. They've been a favorite for forever but no recipe I found could compare to them. She actualy told me the story of that recipe the other day. When she was a little kid, they knew this old lady with a farm that made incredible sugar cookies. My grandma finally managed to get the recipe from her and eventually passed it down to my mom. Now I have it too. I can't wait to make some!
 
@Auroradream26 Please share I have a local Wisconsin Dakota county cookbook #4 from 1961 love the recipes The recipe in it is pretty good

Sugar Cookies
1/2 cup spry or lard
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
2 eggs
2 c flour
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp lemon flavor
1 cup sugar
3 tsp milk
1 tsp baking powder

drop from tsp onto greased cookie sheet.
flatten cookie with a tumbler covered with a damp cloth. Sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 375 degrees -- Mrs. Math Thurmes, Hampton, Minn.
