Any Home Bakers Here?

Made some Mexican sugar cookies for the neighbor. They came over and helped hubs cut up a tree that was damaged in a storm the other night

After you take the bread out of the oven, you kind of knock on the bottom of it, if it sounds hollow, it is done, if not , return to the oven for about 5 minutes and try again, if the „damage“ is already done, I would wet the surfache of the bread an return it to the preheated oven for at least 15 minutes, maybe even put an oven proof shallow bowl of water on the floor of the oven, not sure it would work, but better to try than just to tośs the bread
He just put the pieces in the toaster. His hearing isn’t so great.
 
Million Dollar Fudge.
1961 Wisconsin Dakota county cookbook

5 cups white sugar
1 tall can evaporated milk, google asked 16 ounces was the big cans.
1 lb. bar of milk chocolate
2 pkgs of chocolate chips
2 cups of nuts
1 tbsp Vanilla
1 pint of marshmallow cream (little more than 3 cups)
2 tbsp of butter

Boil the sugar milk together timing it 10 minutes from the time it boils. stir constantly.
Remove from fire add chocolate and chocolate chip also marshmallow cream, Vanilla and butter. Beat until consistency of fudge pour into prepared pan.
Cool in refrigerator.
