Today, I made my first loaf of whole wheat bread - from wheat I ground, myself. It's very good!

Before leaving for doctors appointments this morning, I made cranberry orange scones to share with two of my friend’s neighbors. We had plans to eat them in the afternoon while drinking coffee on the back porch.
“I made scones for the neighbors, but the two big half ones are ours.”
I went to dress, and returned a few minutes later. Her mouth was full, and she looked guilty. The circled one was gone.
“I made big ones for us, what was the misunderstanding?”
“They just looked so good!”
How do you argue with that?

It was funnel shaped at first, but then it kept changing rapidly.

I found a hooser cabinet for sale. I'm going to pick it up next week. Now that the girls are laying i can start making brioche and enriched honey bread. Along with my fermented pizza dough.
