Any One Put In There Seed Orders Yet?

I ordered Mexican X-Top Cushaw (winter) squash from Baker Heirloom a couple of years ago, and loved them. Saved seeds the first year, and forgot last year. Ate them! Now Baker doesn't carry this any more and I can't find them anywhere. Anybody know a source? They are wonderful!

I want to grow peas for the first time this year....
Any suggestions? I'd like a kind thats tender and sweet..

Thanks! What is a Legume inoculant? I know what a legume is..but.. not sure what your talking about?
I have grown bush green beans before... i havent grown any the last couple of years though...

yes allready started tomatos and going to place them into the green house for a few months till spring try baker creek heirloom seeds

Although I didn't need any seeds, I couldn't help myself. I ordered a few packs from Baker Creek. I just got them yesterday. They include Chocalate Sweet Pepper,Trail of Tears beans, Ali Baba watermelon,Country Gentleman sweet corn. Pineapple tomato, and two types of Hillbilly tomatoes.

I've noticed that heirloom tomatoes can vary, depending where you buy the seed. Baker's Hillbilly tomatoes for example, are different than Seed Savers Exchange.

Now I just have to wait another 14 weeks or so lol. I have a bad habit of starting tomatoes and peppers too early. I drive my wife nuts with plants under lights all over the house for two months.

We are in the midwest. N. Ill/Wis border.

We start seeds in mid Feb. in green house.
We can't get them outside till early May.
But what I can say is, we double our Heirloom tom. plantings every year, for 3 years now.
These seem to be the most in demand going on 3 years now.

Hoping to try at least 20 heirloom breeds this season.
"Moms paste" is what sells out late summer. All the canners love this variety.

Even though we are organic, we do grow Marai sweet corn.
This is the best stuff we ever had, I would love another type if there was anything better.
Especially if it was an heirloom variety.


Time to get ready for spring.

Hey those who use black plastic... How do you water? Punch holes in the plastic? I am interested, I have some new plots that weeds will be a problem in..
