Any other hawaiians out there?

Howzit? I'm in Kona in the Palasades area. I just started raising my first chicks this last easter. For the most part all is well. I've had some mysterious Rooster deaths lately that I haven't been able to figure out. Where do you get your feed?

We are in Hana Maui and have about 48 chickens mostly Rhode Island Reds / Whites and Easter Eggers. Glad to meet other Chicken people in the Islands.

I love Hana. It is one of the most beautiful places on earth I think. I have such great memories of Hana, the road, and going horseback riding there (with Keoni as a guide). Everyone should go to Hana at least once in their lives.

Hana is beautiful, but if you're the driver getting there, you'll miss alot of the beauty. We went back again last fall to see the old Maui High School. Pretty coast with lots of wind surfers and cool places to stop and snorkle.

I just came across the "any Hawaiians out there" and here I am!!

MAUI!! REPRESENT!! Anyway, I just joined the other week. Pretty cool forum. I just got back from checking out the Poultry tent at the fair going on this weekend. LOTS of cuties! There is a pair of black Silkies and alot of Seramas. Maybe I will try next year?

Hey all you Hawaii folks! I'm in Hilo myself. I just have a couple silkies ... still. You'd think that I'd have a lot of chickens in Hilo but I live in a close knit neighborhood and well, there aren't any other chickens I know of for blocks around. Any body else has silkies?

I love um! I own a Buff pullet and some chicks. I also own other chickens too but Silkies is my favorite. Do you have pictures?
