Any waterfowl hunters here? *graphic photos*

Here's my contribution to the good of hunting...these aren't my birds, but were given to me by a very generous hunter...

Yumm.. My cousins all hunt. They deer hunt. My grandfather used to deer hunt the Same time each year. Then we would get sent the meat. Wish hubby hunted more, he a rather city boy for the most part. But he is learning. I got him riding the horse to the bar. Not to shabby for a city slicker. Lol

Killed my fair share of ducks, geese, pheasants, grouse, deer and elk. In addition to raising my own birds, my boys and I LOVE to head out for the annual kids waterfowl hunt.

Wild game represents the first true meat birds that man used to feed himself.

It bothers you because you have been told that it should bother you. The last 25 years of anti self sufficient indoctrination giving animals more rights than humans is to blame for this unbalanced view. If people did not hunt, our wildlife would be in a severe imbalance. There is nothing wrong with posing for these pics whether we "feel" it is ok or not. I am female, my entire family were and are hunters....I myself don't like to go but I fully understand the need and place of providing for one's family, instead of buying it at the store or going non meat, which contrary to popular belief..is NOT good for us or the wildlife. Back up 30 years minus all the tricks of govt to get us helpless and see how you would feel about providing this much for your family....you would be proud too.

Nope, never been much for listening just because someone is talking. Such photos bother me because they seem a bit silly and skewed *to me personally*. XD I'm glad when people are proud for providing for their family (if you reread what I wrote, you will see I agree with many of your points...I have a deep respect for hunting), and I don't assume to know every person's reasons for posing as such, I can just see why they would upset others and seem offensive. Hence the suggestion for the forum-suggested title tag of 'graphic photos', which I see has been added.

My 2 cents? I don't mind hunters...they serve a purpose.Without them every species they hunt would get out of control and wreak havoc on the environment.I personally do not hunt but both my oldest sons do.As long as they hunt "fair and square" by the rules,I'm ok with it

oh....and no hunting in my backyard!

IMO with the way grocery prices are now, if someone hunts to put food on their table...good job. With out hunting, the animal/fowl population would be a mess. There wouldn't be enough food for them all and there would be sick and dying animals/birds everywhere.

I myself do not hunt. I can't. I used to have to do it when I was a kid and I guess I just got soft as I got older. But those that can....hunt on.

as i child my father lost his job and times were tuff. he hunted to provide our family with food. we ate alot of rabbit and deer. at the time i hated it but as i grew i learned to apreicate it. we need more men to teach their sons and daughters how to hunt, and pass this on to next generation. the hunting pics are lovely to see.

We have been managing our property since 2003 for better bucks. This one dressed 202 pounds, not bad for a mountain buck!
