I'm very excited for chick season!
I actually have a few breeding projects I'm want to work on come spring.
But, I'm most excited about my Bb red OEGB project, really hoping to get them to SOP!

Me! This coming february i’m ordering hatching eggs for blue/bbs wheaten ameraucanas, plus i’m ordering some black-crested white polish chicks from ideal poultry.

I can't say that I'm wildly excited, but I'm planning on setting my first eggs for 2023 in about 6 weeks and will keep working on my Blue Australorps.

I will also have the F1 for my Silver-Laced Australorp(ish) project.

And I hope to get some Whiting True Blues and maybe some more Marans though I am DEEPLY disappointed that Ideal no longer carries the lovely French Cuckoo Marans who have done so well in my flock.

I'm excited too. I have 1 chick order and some egg orders hopefully. Might do a hatchery order too depending on how winter goes

I thought of doing a solstice-collection hatch, but decided that I am not prepared to run dual heat right now and should wait so that I'm not raising chicks in the coldest weather of the year.

Unless Mocha obliges by going broody once the days start to lengthen. In that case I'll let her try a clutch.

I am so excited! We are planning 24-30 new chickens. I wish I can say I'll order from a hatchery but I truly will likely purchase from feed store. Looking for dual purpose but haven't decided breed yet. I've been diligently working on their Chicken Chalet.

I’m definitely looking forward to it! I have chicks on order for early February.

This was the first year we didn't have chicks, because of AI, and we are down to only 29 birds right now. I'm so ready to get my chick order together, must get on it! Usually a friend and I combine an order, most likely to Cackle, for April. If a broody hen happens in February or March, that would be terrific too.

Im really exited to hatch chicks next year! I can hatch purebred seramas, marans, ameraucanas, and hopefully more button quail too!
