Anyone have Miniature Sheep?

Just got back from the Village Hall. The clerk said he thought it was fine but it had to go in front of the board and all they did was scratch their heads. So Tuesday, April 14th at 7:30pm is when the meeting is. Keep fingers crossed

My neighbors are so excited they want to come to the meeting to support us. I have a good feeling about it. AND a weird thing that happened was as I was at the Village Hall. This man walked in and heard me talking. He has 2 lambs that are up for adoption but they are full size and I think that would be an issue. But he told me he could give me the name of a local shearer... I was like OMG. I hear so many people complaining in much more rural areas that they cannot find a sheep shearer. Please post pics of you lambs!!!!

We breed Olde English Babydoll Southdown Sheep on our farm in Conowingo Maryland. Ours are registered with Robert Mocks' registry. Here is a link to their website http://www.oldeenglishbabydollregistry.com/ it will give you all the info about the breed. We have had a good lambing season this year. We currently have 2 black ewe lambs for sale and 1 white ram lamb, also 1 uber small white yearling ewe,she is only about 18 inches tall. If anyone is interested in these or want to learn more about the breed, feel free to email me at [email protected] I may be bias but I just love this breed, they are more laid back than others, and so darn cute. They always have a smile on their faces for you.

I have a friend who has Shetlands for their fiber. She says that Baby Doll fiber is a little coarse. The people she knows who have them raise them for meat??? That's all I know. We were at her house for the shearing yesterday. I just love her Shetlands. If I had more room I'd get a pair for myself!!
