Wow! A huge thank you to each of you who has served as a Moderator!!
The hours you have given have helped make this such an enjoyable site for long-time and new members as well as the hundreds of people who visit as guests.
Your devotion to BYC is so appreciated and I look forward to seeing your posts on the many threads you frequent!

I don't think I can say it any better than so many all ready have, but I give my thanks to the retiring moderators for all of their time and devotion to what was a very demanding and challenging position to hold and I know we will still see them participating in the daily threads, hopefully moreso now that they will have a bit more free time....

To the new mods, I wish you the best in the new adventures of forum moderation and look forward to chatting with you in the threads!

To the administrators.... I don't envy you the job of choosing new mods, you have some tough work ahead of you with your retiring group being such a hard act to follow, though I have faith you will find the special people it will take to do the job!

The new mods will get a "moderator" signature under their name.  You can always complain to me if you need.  The new mods will have to pass tough standards to be considered.  It will not be an easy job to replace the retired mods with new ones.  There are so many things to consider.

Are you guys going to be able to handle the stress though? You've been doing this so long, the transition might be very tough. Has Nifty discussed rehabilitation yet?

We need more transparency. What is the severance pay and benefit package? Instead of Golden Feather, I want to hear about their Golden Parachute.

Also, while we are at it, what is the pay package for new moderators? Will they still be paid by the post, or will it be by the hour?

Are you instituting a system of fines for those who post improperly, with the fines going directly into the Moderator Slush Fund?

It's great that you are giving a 1-year service for moderators. That way, they can have breaks

Although, it is sad to see some mods go. It's amazing that you guys work on BYC all the time without pay and are seldom thanked.
I just wanted to thank all you mods, you guys are amazing!
