APRIL Hatch a long ......Anyone?

Why not?  I'm doing ostriches and pheasants in addition to poultry lol ))

Alright great wasn't sure so thought I'd check. My first time hatching and they are shipped eggs so fingers crossed!

Update!

Out of the 7 dozen mixed chicken eggs, I tossed about 2 dozen that were not fertile, and one that was an early quitter. I am sad that all but one of the copper maran eggs were duds. But the one that is still developing is literally the biggest chicken egg I have ever seen.

Out of the 7 duck eggs, all 7 seem to be doing great.

My last modern game hen is kicking his little feet inside the egg. He will hatch first, probably Monday. (None of the rest developed, probably because the guy waited until the eggs were over two weeks old before he gave them to me.)

I just added 3 dozen Spangled Doms this past week and 1 dozen more Modern Games. It hasn't been long enough to see anything inside.

Update:

She wasn't coming out to eat and was getting skinny so i popped the food right up next to her and she ate loads, super dedicated frizzle cochin then i saw a nice big disgusting broody poo outside the nest area later on, god i hope for her sake the eggs are fertile.

Well, I was going to wait a little bit before doing another hatch as I just hatched out eight Faverolles chicks a few days ago but I found two dozen Barred Rock hatching eggs on Craigslist for next to nothing and I just had to get them.

I ordered another dozen Faverolles eggs to go with them from a breeder on ebay. They should arrive in the mail Thursday. I'll probably set on Thursday night before I go to bed and not do the Easter Hatch-A-Long. Some of the Barred Rock eggs are two weeks old now so I'd like to put them in the incubator as soon as possible.

Faverolles are on my list to add to the coop! Probably not this year though...only so much room.

Sierra 23 is right about it all but if eggs are tan and candler isnt great you may just see dark or black in the egg which is a chick. might not see veins or movenent but are alive

I have a hatch due April 8th! I have Isabelle Leghorns in my brinsea. I'm really excited about these beauties!! These are the parent stock from Backwoods Poultry Farm
