APRIL Hatch a long ......Anyone?

My last hatch ended yesterday with 11 set and 11 hatched in the Brinsea. Here's photos of the April chicks. I have some set to hatch May 4th and 15th so will have to find that thread as I'm done with Aprils hatches. Good luck to for everyone's hatches.

Okay, my first hatch of the year!! Two ducklings hatched last night (both needed assistance). The lady I got te eggs from only owns Welsh Harlequin ducks and one female Buff Orpington duck... So I'm very confused. The yellow duckling is very clearly a female Welsh Harlequin... But what about the other one?? I've never seen a Buff or a Welsh that dark before.

Gorgeous chicks & ducklings! :love Good luck to the rest of us! :D

My Brinsea is in lockdown today & after fiddling a bit, I got humidity steady at 65%. 32 eggs in there consisting of Bielefelders, Olive Eggers & Belgian Cuckoo Malines (new bloodline). I'm dry hatching in my genesis unit & seems to be going much better than I would've thought. 40/45 Malines from my foundation flock made it to day 17 today. Tomorrow I'm shooting for 60% humidity.

So frustrated!! My poor broody's eggs are going missing. We started with 13 eggs, and over the course of a week, 5 disappeared. No sign of shells, it's like they vanished. My coop is very tight, and I don't see anywhere that a rat could get in. Any ideas? No sign of any hurt chickens.

In other newes, the due date is coming up on Wednesday! And Chewbacca, my broody, is still trying to steal eggs.

One thing chickens will do is that somehow they know when an egg is bad or dead and they will eat it. They are pretty good at gathering up all the crumbs as well.

It looks like out of the five Muscovy eggs that made it to lockdown 4 have internally pipped. I have had issues with the two previous hatch ings in regard to live babies that just never hatched and died. How do I know if I need to assist them?

I have some in the incubator due to hatch today. One pipped but doesn't appear to be moving. I believe he/she died.
I hope the rest hatch fine.

Looks like everyones hatch days are all pretty close!Lot of cute babys.Oh i wish i had a brinsea!!!
It is hatch day for me too but not asign However last hatch was the same late so im not worried yet In fact expected it.
