I have one egg that pipped and zipped( on day 19!).

This one chick has the chipmunk pattern. And it its so Tired. As am I

Gah! I hear peeping coming from the incubator guys! Hopefully I will wake up to four adorable duckies that need to find a mommy. I have one Muscovy hen and one buff Orpington as the candidates. I've been lucky so far that I've had hens go broody at the right times. For the next batch I'll need like four broodies at the same time which is very unlikely lol, so I'm going to set up the brooder tomorrow

Okay, my first hatch of the year!! Two ducklings hatched last night (both needed assistance). The lady I got te eggs from only owns Welsh Harlequin ducks and one female Buff Orpington duck... So I'm very confused. The yellow duckling is very clearly a female Welsh Harlequin... But what about the other one?? I've never seen a Buff or a Welsh that dark before.

well, I'm pretty sure that the buffs and welsh harlequins don't really have any genetic coding overlapping, so you would come out with a duck that has a more wild type coloring. It is likely a buff/welsh harlequin mix? That's the only thing I can think of

Omg we have a pip! And I hear chirping all night so no sleep. Every peep I'd jump out of bed to see then had nightmares my nieces and nephews were opening the bator. So exciting. Its my BCM which I heard can have a tough time. Day 19 or 20 I can't figure because they went in the evening of the 6th. And a buff has cracks but no hole I hope that's ok.

Hello everyone sorry haven't made any updates I originally set over three dozen ducks eggs from my young ducks hatched last year majority were infertile I don't think they quite knew what to do haha but I am left with 11 eggs one may not still be growing I have a feeling it was a late quiter other then that one Muscovy egg(the possible quiter) there are 10 blue eggs from my pekin mix female she looks full pekin but lays a blue egg so I think she may be a Rouen/pekin mix and her mate is a ful Rouen so I am very excited to see all the colors that could come from them they are only due to hatch Monday the 28 but Thursday night I heard my first peeping and that lasted all day Friday and today there are three pipped shells so hoping all goes well and I have an early hatch can't wait I'll post pics of the little farts when they arrive

Humidity reads 71% right now in there. Will the rest of the eggs be ok? I'm trusting the Brinsea reputation, but I've had chicks drown on that kind of humidity before.

OOH! A bielefelder just pipped!

OOH! A Malines just pipped!

4 have hatched now. They're exhausted and pass out like puppies. So I'm hoping not to open til I have to but one kicked it's entire shell onto a pipped egg. The bottom (RIR shell) is completely covering the BCM (darker) egg and then the top landed on that e

gg covering the pip. Hope it shakes it off or I'll have to intervene?
