Thanks for the advice.But,Hi cluckcluck, you have too many fish for that size tank. They produce a lot of waste and dirty their water. That's why a larger tank. More water and more substrate in the larger tank make it easier to control dramatic shifts in water quality. Small tanks actually are quite difficult to manage. This may explain why you keep losing fish.

My tank is a wreck now, although next week it'll be beautiful. Right now it has an big goldfish and a tetra that bullies everyone but him. Or should I say bullies, because they are the only two left. Goldfish is peaceful but has asserted himself as boss one too many times to that tetra. It makes me so sad to think about all the passed fish after the tank was neglected, now it just has some mismatched decor and lonely fish. );
