Hatching

Hi! I found an abandoned duck nest and saw the dead mom so I decided to take the eggs that were unharmed and try to hatch them. I built an incubator and am doing my best to keep the temperature and humidity right. I candled them and am not sure if they are alive or not. They look like they could be alive and pretty far in development or they just died far into development. I will post pictures (I numbered them) of the ones that could still be alive maybe and would really appreciate getting some feedback if they are alive or not. And if I should continue to incubate them or not.

Just keep them in there. Don’t worry too much about it, as stress makes people make big mistakes. They might be alive, they might be dead. At least one is alive, and they all look fine to me. I always incubate eggs that haven’t hatched until a week after the due date. The worst feeling in the world is realizing you stopped incubating a perfectly viable egg.

Thank you, that helped a lot. I hope they are alive!
