Argh! I was making zucchnin bread for the first time...

Jason, first off let me tell you, any man that even attemps to cook/bake is tops in my book! First thing you need to do is do a search for Gumps bread in the search above and then you will meet all the guys who are cooking/baking on here. Gumps bread is a no fail recipe...good for starting out. We have some awesome guys on here and they have posted pics of their results. DO NOT STOP TRYING

It happens to everyone sometime. Glad you went for a second batch. Hummmm?? I got lots of zucchini in the fridge and just saw a new recipe I was gonna try, Pina colada zucchini bread. Guess I am off to the kitchen. Thanks for the good idea.

To all young husbands, I've said it a thousand times, but I'll say it again. Don't do it ONCE because if you do, it'll be your job for life. That includes cooking, cleaning, washing clothes... ad nauseum, e.g., I took out the trash ONE time forty-three years ago, and now that's all I hear around here, "Take out the trash. Take out the trash."
Okay, you've been warned. Let me know in forty years how it went if she hasn't killed you by then.

Don't listen to these women; they're all in cahoots together.

Now, Jay, do not listen to Joe....we tolerate him but he has a big problem with reality, if you don't believe me...look up his posts, dear man, just isn't quite "right"...if you know what I mean??

I am pretty much Mr. MOM at the moment. I was an Engineer for Interstate Brands, but they decided to close the plant I worked at. So currently, my wife is workig extra days (6 12 hr shifts) a week so we can make ends meet as an RN. If she is going to work that much, while I am at home, the least I can do is take care of our children (8,9, & 13Yo's), and do a little cookin and cleaning. So, doing something nice for her is the least I can do... Oh yeah,.. she loved it!

That would take a great load off from her shoulders when you pull your weight in the housework and caring for children. Its alot of work but it gets easier if you two share loads!
