Oh my gosh! Do you know how it got in the house? How did you get it out? I've heard that if you have a gap somewhere that the snake or rodents can get in, you can stuff it with steel wool or one of those copper scrubbies and they won't even try to get past it.

Rooster, Just wondering what your doberman is like. Mine is an absolute sweetheart. Love her so much. She is getting old but insists on being with me as much as she can. Parks herself nearby for the most mundande tasks.

Snake-fearers, if you are that close to them- check the eyes. Poisonous snakes have a slit pupil in their eye like a cat. Banded watersnakes seem to be really common, their is also a thick one that looks like a cottonmouth but has a yellow underbelly. Copperheads normally shy away from people but cottonmouths can be aggressive.

To me it is ashame how many hogmouth snakes are killed because they are mistaken for other snakes. They are really harmless. People mistake them for copperheads, cottonmouths.

I still really hate spiders but I have educated myself enough about snakes that they don't bother me so much.

Scott,

Farmers in Benton has DE and I'm sure if they have it than Farmers Assn on Cronial Glen has it too. They run out sometimes in Benton so if you drive call before you come.

He's a sweet boy. He comes over so you can pet him. If you stop he bumps your hand with his nose or licks it so you'll pet him more. I've had to work alot lately so I haven't had the chance to work with him yet. We worked on the commands "come" and "sit" yesterday. My GF brought over her Waymeriner to meet him foe the first time this weekend and she's 72 lbs. He's 34 lbs.(4 months old). He hid under the house and barked at her for a few minutes. My brother got him out and held him while they smelled each other. He was ok with her in no time and they started wrestling in the yard. My brother found a dead Rooster. Dunno if he did it or another Rooster did. But it hasn't happened again. I think he'll be great.

How long have they had it? I know LR did not have it last August. The guy was looking through the computer and told me the closest he could get was sweet pdz. Do they have it listed by another name - like permaguard instead of just DE? Next time I need some I will call and ask.

Glad to see so many so close. Hopefully someday we can have our own Chicken exchange or swap meet. I'm totally hooked on these guys. Gotta get rid of some roos before they kill each other. The battery is dead in my digital camera and I cannot find the charger. I was going to put them up for sale. they are not liking the heat at all. Spend most of the day in the shade. I hope they're eating enuff.
