That was my fear. They were a mail-order only. So now I have to figure out what to do. There's no regulations against roosters in my area, but I don't know anyone who has or wants them.

Wow! Mail order should have been spot on from the hatchery.

Call TSC and get them to make it good. The workers have no idea what they have most of the time.

When that happens most people just put them on your local CL as a Free to Good home type deal. Having said that, I don't know how comfortable you are with this but I was raised on a farm in Ky..... Sapphire Gems are Dual Purpose birds. You could raise them for meat birds.

Yeah, I ordered with TSC but Hoover's Hatchery was the place to send them. So I'll probably reach out to TSC first. I was just happy they all arrived alive. Though one of those roosters seems rather weak right now.

Well, as awful as it sounds, at least it's a male you didn't want that's not thriving.

I would talk to tsc, see what your options are, and then give the chicks away if they don't want them brought in (which is likely)

I get it. I'm from farm area in IL originally. Didn't have my own animals but lots of friends who did.

edit: have to add I have a tender-hearted 10-yr-old daughter who wants me to try to save it.

Yeah, those are 4 Roosters.... Sorry. If you specifically bought pullets then you should be able to take them back.

Oosters i asked breeds.i ordered 2 specific pullets got a 3rd pullet free and ordered fry pan specials all roosters to make the extras needed to ship in winter..i just want to know so i can a.learn b. Tell the family i am giving them too
