ATV Accident WARNING graphic pics Updated pics

Oh my. I am so glad he's going to be ok. As most of you know I am very much for helmets. My son wss riding a very broke horse but he lost his reins and the horse ran off and then slipped as he fell off. Breaking his femer. The helmet doctors said saved his life.
It was one of those freak accidents that you just never expect to happen to you.
My son gets the metal rods out of his leg soon i hope. They have to wait until the bone heals inside.
Looking st the pictures , i can honestly feel for the family. Its so hard sitting waiting.. I refused to leave the hospital thank goodness they had showers for parents like me. I was allowed to stay the entire time.
I am so glad he's doing ok. And glad he knows enough to say i will wear a helmet.

Sorry to hear your son got hurt but glad he's gonna be ok. I know what you mean about not leaving his side. I did the same. The hospital my granson was at was also parent friendly. They always asked if we needed anything before they left his room. There was accomodations in the room for family to stay. They furnished us with plenty of towels for the full bathroom in his room and even sent a meal everyday. It was a childrens hospital so there was plenty to do also when he was up and around. He stayed in bed sleeping for about 3 days but after that he was up and all over the place. They have everything except for a playground which they don't need anyway. After all, it is a hospital. Last thing they want are accidents. They had school for those still in school, craft classes, every game you can dream of including video games. Free movie rentals, a library and of course a chapel, and all the elevator rides one can stand. Displays that interest kids and the pictures on the walls where made by kids. There was lost more for them to do.

When my daughter was born she was taken there. She was a premie and had a blockage in her intestines and couldn't poop. They fixed her right up and when she got strong enough she went home. She was there for 3 weeks. After I got out of the hospital after a week there myself I went straight to where she was, which was 2 hours away. DH stayed with her the entire time of course. I was told I shouldn't do any traveling but of course I didn't listen. I paid for it with an infection but got over that. I wasn't ever able to have any more kids though. She was handful enough so it was probably best I didn't have anymore. I have my 3 grandsons.

So happy to hear that he is doing better! I have been lifting him up in prayer since your post! The BF needs to go! He shouldn't be allowed near kids!

Your both right there. When he was 2 years old he was with his mother for about 6 months and in that time he was molested, beaten, scrotum clamped in the car seat buckle and made sit there. The BF at that time kept hitting him in the head because he was screaming. Of course she wasn't with him, she was at his parents house asleep leaving him to take care of the boy. All the time he was doing all that damage to him. Child services didn't do a thing, she told them he was clumsy and was always hurting himself. To keep an eye on him they where suppose to visit once a week but instead called. And got a broken collar bone and was never taken to the doc. She gets her kicks out of seeing her kids miserable. She is a very cruel person but she will be nice to other peoples kids.

Yesterday while he was playing his video game and I was outside in the duck pond cleaning it he said he tripped and bumped his head. He pulled about an inch and a half of scab off and it was bleeding a little bit. After I cleaned it up and clipped off the part of scab that was hanging it looked more like he picked it off. He says he didn't though. I asked him what he hit his head on and he said he didn't know. I figure he pulled it off. It looks fine though but he will have to stay inside now for a few days to keep the bugs out of his boo boo.

Oh the PAIN of having scrotum caught in the buckle, talk about TEARS! That kind of screaming, you would KNOW the child is hurting! The pitch and the frequency, what are they idiots? I can tell the difference between a whine cry, frustration cry and hurt cry, and they do not sounded the same. If they can not tell the difference, I would love to do that to the dad and see what kind of pain he will be in! Oh yeah, you can bring a grown man to his knees by doing that.

Nutcracker anyone?

It wasn't his dad. HIs dad died long ago and this guy that hurt him and did all those bad things to him is dead now. Shot by police. My daughter is too lazy to work so she gets with who ever will support her and give her a place to sleep. This current guy she was with a year and got pregnant and is still with him. He gets disability and claims he can't read or write but he can text till his fingers fall off. He's not the brightest bulb in the box for sure. He's what we call a River Rat. Born and raised near the river and can't even pronounce his words right. He has no mental disability other than he just was raised by drunks that didn't bother to raise their kids but didn't hesitate to raise their hand to drink beer from the time they wake up till the pass out. They still do to. He is very protective with their almost 3 year old son. So much so the baby will yell and order anybody to do what he wants and gets mad if they refuse. I can't babysit him because I won't let him do it and he will cry till they come back. No way i'll put up with that.

My brother had his ripped open when he was riding a bike and fell. He was in shock and did not even realize what happen until he went to check out the cut he thought was on his thigh. He had to get 5 stitches. All this happened when we were camping in West Virginia, and the nearest "hospital" was a little office in the middle of a makeshift town square.

My uncle sent his a basket of nuts as a get well present.
