August Hatch along?

As it is the last day of thr month. I'll be swinging over to the September hatch a long

And now for the worried first time hatching questions.
I know after pips, chicks will take a long rest. The chick pipped at 3pm- ish.About 5 hours ago..but it didn't poke through the membrane. Is the chick supposed to poke through the membrane?
There's not chirping, is that normal? I always heard there would be peeping.

Wow! I live at 6000 feet above sea level so I did struggle with this.... I have had better hatch rates after adjusting for altitude.

Have you done anything to increase oxygen?
I'm curious because I was considering moving.

I just make sure to have the vents all the way open.... I am currently running a styrofoam bator with Turner and hatching in my brines location ex 56

I was considering a portable oxygen concentrator if I move to an elevation higher than yours.

That makes sense.... I guess one of the biggest adjustments is getting eggs from the same altitude.... when you can. I just finished a decent hatch of turkeys, 6 out of 9 eggs so not bad.
