One just hatched. My husband just suggested putting it in the spare incubator so its not mixing with the dirty eggs. I thought while the others haven't pipped (one has small crack) I would quickly get it and spray a quick spray of water.
Thanks anni. WE have had 60mm in 2 days. There is this stuff on the ground now that is starting to get a shade of green,, OH yeah it's grass thats right.I thought I had lost it myself, just by reading about chook nappies.
Tonights' weather report in Victoria, showed some serious rain heading into Queensland ... so I sure hope it is cool rain - lots of it, and doesn't bring any humidity with it. Good luck.
Cheers -
If you have to open the incubator just make it quick . If you've got a brooder set up just pop it in there with the heat lamp nice and low, as in height not temp. I wouldn't bother with spraying the quicker it dries out the better. One just hatched. My husband just suggested putting it in the spare incubator so its not mixing with the dirty eggs.
