Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

It's a good all round tonic for hens etc. It also stops the waterers from turing green as quick if left outside. I use a few drops in the young ones waterers from birth. For the main pens i use aprox a tablespoon or so in 5 litres of water. I just change it out whenever their waterers need redoing usually every 2 days or so. You use acv to pickle quail eggs? Eww... lol I am not to keen on the idea of pickled eggs though i do love a pickled onion lol. Infact i pickle quite a bit of stuff but i use brown vinegar and herbs and garlic normally. I did some pickled capsicum the other day and i have home made beetroot in jars .

My lorps have been overly broody this year too for some reason. Think I have 6 that are broody still. Can't wait to see who wins the lorp of the dog lol

You can buy 500ml bottles in your health food section at coles etc. You have to get the one from the health food section as it is unfiltred and that is the important bit. I however buy mine by the 5 litres container from my produce store as it works out cheaper with all the animals i have. Just have to remember with ACV it can only be used in plastic waterers not metal.
Does metal taint it in some way, or make the ACV ineffective? Just wondering as I have both types of containers and tend to put it in both.

Thanks!

I will PM mine for you in a day or so....LOL I reckon the dog after a while he runs from her mostly but has tried to nip her threw the wire mesh run while she attacks back Oi Oi Oi its driving me nuts....

the only reason Sam does not attack the chickens is because I AM Alpha in this household..... LOL and he is scared of making me angry :) I might kick him out of the pack....

Cattle Dogs are too smart and too loyal.

vinegar is essentially an acid and it will corrode metal and the metallic particles will be in the water your flock is drinking.

It is potentially very dangerous depending on the metal your waterers are made of

Think the chooks had their own way of saying up yours Luke, I've never heard them so noisy as this afternoon. Even the rooster was joining in and clucking at the top of his voice. Rather bizarre but funny the timing lol

As for posting, my brother looked out in time to see an Australia post guy kick his parcel the rest of the way to the door one christmas. Needless to say he now uses a PO Box lol
