Well I am starting on just breeding White Leghorns and Yokohama's.
I will sell the WLH eggs and chicks and breed the Yoko's as my hobby sort of thing.

Just Wyandottes at the moment. GL, SL, BLG, BLR, BLS.
I do want to get coronation Sussex of @fancychooklady and double laced silver barnies. But will have to wait to convince the hubby. Building another pen and run shortly to separate the colors the golds and the silvers, but also renovating the house we are staying in. So can't go pushing my luck.

as chickens will invariably drink from  filthy mud puddles instead of their clean water containers.

Great advise mate ! I just made a batch of vitamin / avc / chilli garlic mix for the water to boost the flock.

I'm new here and I was wondering if you could tell me the best wormer you can get in Australia? I currently give my girls Moximax every 3 months, but I'm having a problem - one of my chooks died yesterday - which may be worm related. I posted more details here:
