I wouldn't say it's rude ... I'd take it as a compliment. Though, my usual caveat is to take advice from some kook on the interwebs with a grain of salt! YmmvThis is off topic but... is it rude to follow ppl without asking? Now that everything is new its hard to find my old threads and there's no one to talk to so in starting from scratch. I guess it just takes time?
If he's a roo ... don't cull him! Keep him for breeding stock at least!I'm thinking the charcoalish chick is a rooster. The black one and the lighter one (hopefully) NOT roosters. They'll be 8 weeks old on the 8th of June. View attachment 1031233 View attachment 1031236
X2 is that your future breeding trio?If he's a roo ... don't cull him! Keep him for breeding stock at least!
You are probably correct. How old? The black one's head prevents me from looking for sickle shaped feathers on the charcoal one with the well developed comb. Are his legs, the unfeathered part, more robust compared to the girls? ...just out of curiosity...
Pretty, pretty birds !!![]()
You can breed him with his sisters ... blues are still kind of rare in the states, if he Is a roo, and you can't keep him, SOMEONE will want him! Thanks! I'll have to look at their legs. They're almost 8 weeks old. The charcoal one (I'm gonna call him Boyd Crowder) has a different shaped tail too. If I keep him, he can't really breed with his sisters can he? Cuz if I get more Aussie eggs they're all gonna hav the same daddy.
